The employees of Computer-Wiz are very involved in many community efforts.  You can find us busy at work at the following volunteer groups:

YMCA International Services – Refugee Scholarship Program.
Computer-Wiz under-wrote a fund raiser event at Rice Cinema to raise funds for the scholarship program.  We worked closely with the event organizers to create the graphics, email blasts, and to get donors for the program.  Here is a link to see the poster and more.

Jewish Community Center

In conjunction with SeniorNet, we provide computer classes for the Seniors 55+.  If you are a Senior or know of a Senior that needs computer classes please have them call the JCC and get information on computer classes provided by Computer-Wiz & SeniorNet.

Houston Area League of PC Users (HAL-PC)

If you are a HAL-PC member you'll be happy to know that you can find us at HAL-PC every Wednesday from 9 till noon helping members with their PCs and any related computer questions.

PC for Elementary Students
We get a fair amount of PCs unwanted by customers that with a little TLC we are able to bring back to life and donate to elementary age students.  Our goal is to donate a complete PC set up (CPU, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printer) every month.  We coordinate our efforts through the Garden Oaks Elementary.
Opera in the heights
Opera in the Heights was founded on January 6, 1996.  It is a non-profit, professional, regional opera company serving the Greater Houston area with quality opera and concert performances in an intimate setting, at an affordable price.  Each season, the company presents four fully staged and costumed productions of traditional operas, performed in the original language with English surtitles and accompanied by orchestra. It operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors; its  Artistic Director, William Weibel; and Asst. Artistic Director, Keith Chapman.
