8. Delete Facebook Apps

Last week, Facebook announced that its app partners would be able to store your data indefinitely instead of having to re-request it every 24 hours. This may seem like a big change, but, in fact, it's really about network management. Truth is, once you opt in, Facebook apps have almost unlimited access to your profile info. If that doesn’t freak you out a little bit, take this quiz constructed by the a href="http://apps.facebook.com/aclunc_privacy_quiz" target="_blank">ACLU]. Yeah, I know. So what can you do? Avoid quizzes and delete the apps that you don’t use. Go to Account/Application Settings and change the drop-down list to display Authorized apps. These are all the apps with access to your profile. Click on the X next to any app you don’t use and choose Remove.
